I'm current a third of the way through the title. It's passed my mind on several occassions that technology is impacting our ability to parent in more than one way. While this statement surely seems simple, I'm curious why it continues to happen. I watch parents at the beach disregarding precious moments or failing to acknowledge that their child isn't in the safest of situations because they are on their phone. In Capter 2 page 20, Dr. Tsabary reminds us that, "conscious parenting uses ordinary, moment-by-moment engagement with it children to foster authentic connections." Can we work as adults to make sure this is happening with all of our children no matter their age? Can we start to take in the ordinary moments and treasure the fact that they were brought freely to us?
